#icad2020 — 61/61
(Index Card a Day 2020)
It’s the last day of the challenge. I’m both relieved and sad. I truly preferred the #100daychallenge because I had more choices—size-wise, paper-wise. Both challenges, however, forced me to produce something every day, and what surprised me was that I found inspiration for something new every day. Between them, I scoured through supplies I’d never used and discovered new tools (soft pastels!) to work with. I also branched out from collage and doodling to actually painting things from portraits to landscapes to palm trees! Maybe not all were done very well, but I got past my inner critic, which allowed me to experiment and learn. Which is, I guess, the purpose of the challenges.
For now, I’m ready for a break. I need to do some cleaning up in my art room. Need to store what I made, cut up for collage what doesn’t work as a complete piece, and frame what I like. 🙂
