This is something else I’m going to do while I’m self-quarantined for the foreseeable future. Starting on next Tuesday, I’m going to produce something involving paint, pen, or collage, every single day—for 100 days.
I know setting challenges like these works because I’ve done it with writing. Now, I want to dive into my main hobby in a slightly bigger way. Up until now, I piddled at art. It was something to do when I was bored. However, my mother was an artist, and partially to keep connected with her memory, and partly because writing isn’t filling my creative “well” the way it used to, I want to do more.
I don’t care if I ever get really good at it, but I do love the process—wetting watercolors, applying the colors to paper, doodling, even rough sketching (which I truly suck at). It’s all a form of meditation for me.
So, I’m going to give the challenge a try. Want to join me?
